How To Set Goals That You Will Accomplish
I am a long time goal setter, so I was surprised when I saw a new and refreshingly simple take on setting goals. The strategy goes something like this:
Notice something that bothers you, or concerns you about yourself, or a situation. Ask yourself these three questions:
1.) What is it that is bothering me?
2.) Is that something that I could fix?
3.) Would I actually be willing to fix it?
If the answer is NO to any of those three things, then think of something smaller that you can answer yes three times to and do it. This works because the small change you actually accomplish, added to another small change you accomplish has a HUGE compounding effect over time.
Also, remember to compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today!
